We are delighted to announce initial plans for a sporting facility back in our rightful home of Long Crendon. For several years now we have sought to find a single location that can cater for our growing Ladies, Mens and Youth football teams (Crendon Corinthians) alongside supporting the wider community.

We need ONE place to call home! This development offers us five football pitches to cater for ALL of our teams. At the heart of it is our main pitch complete with a floodlit 4G playing surface, four terraced/seated stands and club house that will double up for both sporting and community events. By having such a facility, we can operate all year round, cater for all of our dozen plus teams and most importantly, carry on our growth up the footballing pyramid to be a sustainable, well-established club.

Over the coming weeks, we will be asking for your support. Firstly, in the form of backing our proposal and making this happen outside of the proposed village plan and to a timescale of two years. This means signing and adding your name to our proposal so that we get the approval to bring Crendon home.

A message from Gerald Reilly, LCFC Chairman

A culmination of two years hard work by key members of the club has finally paid off and we now have a facility we can call home. Firstly, a huge thank you to the donor of the land and their help in making this happen. This is a great chance for all the men’s, ladies, boys and girls teams to play under one roof whilst also using the recreation ground as a training facility.

I also want to ensure this will be a community hub for all the village as well as surrounding areas, not just for football. I want to welcome you to the facility in order to take in the river walk, maybe grab a tea or coffee, a bite to eat and truly have a facility that supports its community.”

Now more than ever, we need your support. Our aim is for 5000 signatures to not only prove the demand for such a facility but also show it will be used by the local community.
